BrewDog Waterloo
🍽 Type: Craft Beer, Pub📍 Location: Unit G, Waterloo Station, 01 The Sidings, London SE1 7BH 💸: £20-£30
I love this place. It’s a brilliant place to work, grab lunch, and chill before you catch your train. Located within Waterloo station, this massive pub has great burgers on the menu plus some cracking craft beers on tap. I can vouch for the “Cluck Norris” burger
That’s not all. There’s a cafe area that’s great to work in. Upstairs and downstairs you’ll find a lounge area with desks and communal tables to work from and it even has “Zoom Rooms” – quiet self-contained rooms where you can take video calls.
There are plant-based options for our vegan friends, it’s dog-friendly, has a mini-bowling alley and has a giant slide to get you downstairs. What’s not to love?
It’s great for a catch-up with mates, for a work do’s or even to come on your own.
Florentine
🍽 Cuisine: Brasserie📍 Location: 6 Hercules Rd, London SE1 7DU 💸 Typical price per person: £20-£30
Florentine is the kind of place I’d come if I was looking to impress. This all-day, dining Brasserie style restaurant is only a stone for away from Waterloo station and impresses with its pan-European Style menu, slick interiors and intimate atmosphere. Noise level is kept to a minimum, which allows for meaningful conversations to flow.
The warm welcome from the receptionist and friendly staff made me feel right at home. I wasn’t quite up for taking on a food challenge just yet (including a monstrous burger) but if that’s your kinda gig, then give it a go. I challenge you!
